Most recitals are supposed to be 45 minutes long. Based on how long each one of your songs are is what’s gonna help you decide how many songs you need to fit that time. Just try to keep it under an hour.

Usually, it is 50 songs, but since the 1999 meeting of Governers, all schools are now required to provide an encore of 13 songs, and also an additional two must be played as the audience enters and exits and they must comply with the rules as set out in section 4.78 of the USA schools charter, which basically says that they must be of a slow tempo so as not to encite a stampeed.

Usually under an hour, between 45 and 50 minutes. That works out to around 12 to 14 pieces, depending on the length of the pieces, of course.
