Are people seriously so stupid that they can’t get to Wikipedia? No, Travis is not dead. There was no Adam. From Wikipedia:

“The title is a reference to a Mr. Show with Bob and David sketch in which a metal-head who attempted suicide by jumping into a vat of acid has a song written about him called “Try Again (Adam’s Song)” by fictional metal group Titannica.”
And:
