How do you become a famous singer at 13?

well, technically i am 12, but my birthday is in like 3 weeks. Anyways, how do i become a famous singer. I don’t know if i can sing good but my sister tells me i do and my mom says i can sometimes. Anyways i would love to become a famous singer but the problem is i am a little over weight for my age. Can i still become a singer if i am fat? Any help would be great!
Well, what does your voice sound like? post take a video of yourself singing, or just a voice recording, and listen to it, and what music do you like? it depends… i mean, if u have a really high pitched voice, u could sing what of those songs with lots of "ooooh"s and "baby"s, or if u have a low pitched voice, sing metallica or rock, and hey, people cant see what you look like with a recording, can they? and if u have an eating problem, try Atkins!

Yes, there are a lot of artists who happen to be over-weight, look at Biggie Smalls, he was one amazing rapper, total legend. Anyway, you should get yourself into acting school, that will help a lot, they’ll also help you out with singing etc… Disney Channel would help, but you need to be a good actor, I guess…to be a good singer?… acting school would boost your confidence if you are quite shy.
By the way, it is very unlikely that you become famous as there are that many other great singers out there… you could also try going to talent shows etc, maybe you’ll get noticed, American Idol in a few years time, maybe?
It will take a long time to do this…but if these are your dreams then don’t give up, don’t let anybody say that you can’t do it, don’t let them get you down… if this is your goal in life then you go for it and good luck.

It doesn’t matter what you look like to be a singer, but really, don’t put yourself down, okay? =)
Get yourself a music profile on Myspace and YouTube, and try and get subscribers who can pass your videos on to their friends, and so on. If you are really great, you’ll get far, as long as you stick at it. If there are any local talent contests, go for it.
Firstly, don’t let anyone else tell you you can’t make it, and secondly don’t get disheartened if it takes a while. Trust me, it will. But the best piece of advice I ever heard was this- "Don’t listen to the ones who say you’re not good enough to make it, because they’re just people who got their own dreams smashed."
Focus on your dream, keep at it, and you’ll go far. Good luck. x
