I am looking for music similar to David Foster’s Winter Games or quite like Barry White’s Love’s Theme. Winter Games is an instrumental orchestral music, and its melody is played on piano. The music is lively yet classy. Please suggest titles or artists. Note that it should not be solo piano but preferably, piano accompanied by orchestra or band.

Actually, what exactly is a melody? Is a melody the "sound" behind a singer’s voice? But what about an instrumental song then? Isn’t it the same? And what is the difference between song and melody? Or are they the same?

You are thinking of Melody and Harmony. Melody is the main ‘tune’ the theme that you’d whistle or sing along with.

Harmony is the background music more or less. The chords and rhythms that accompany the main ‘tune’.

You usually have both whether it is an instrumental piece or a song that is sung. This site helps give you a better idea.

I have the song in my head and the vocals, but I wanted to know how many and what instrumental tracks specifically are included when creating one song (particularly a pop song). I mean, you can hear that there’s a drum and a guitar strumming, but what other instruments, like computer generated even, are generally included in a pop song?

you can set up some ipods with VoIP, you would need a SIP client for your device, and an account with a VoIP provider…

Heavy instrumental songs, almost like dubstep, but a little less dubstep-y. Haha if that made any sense to anyone. I need some good instrumental songs that are good to dance to, not school prom type dance, but actual contemporary or lyrical or maybe even jazz or hip hop type songs. I’m mainly looking for contemporary.

The best dance I’ve ever seen was to "Take Five" Dave Brubeck Quartet – fair warning, it’s not easy.

I don’t really want my parents/siblings to hear the music I listen to, which is why I usually use headphones, but both pairs are broken and I can’t go out and buy new ones. So, is there any way for me to listen to music without anyone hearing, and without using headphones?
I listen to it on my laptop… But usually while doing other things so I want to be able to hear, yet the sound travels through the register down to the basement where my siblings are… Would covering it up stop the sound from going down there?

More specific please… like on the computer, just put the volume kind of low and lean in towards them, on the tv go to the 800 channels and put the voume low (lot of music here). Go to your parents car and turn on the radio. If you have an ipod touch 2nd generation or higher, play the music with your headphones unplugged, put the volume more or less low and hold it up against your ear.

Because I heard people who listen to classical music and the Beatles are more intelligent than people who listen to marylin manson or eminem. Because I have music cycles. I’ll listen to eminem, then linking park, then some marylin, and some classical. But I do quite well in school? Will this lesser my intelligence?

Not at all. It is just that most people who are more educated are raised with different values, and in school they often learn an appreciation for the classics.

On the other hand, people who are raised in different socioeconomic classes usually focus on other types of culture. For example, most of the middle class associates with pop culture and brand media, whereas most of the lower classes focus on less popular, sometimes folk media. Or in modern days, many lower class people focus on things that represent a message that mimics their sentiment (because the artist targets that sentiment). For example, some listen to "hard rock" as it may echo how they view society.
